Announcing Friday Night League at The University of Denver
CGVA is pleased to again offer a Friday night league for all of you who can’t play on Tuesday or want to play twice a week. This league will be in pre-formed team format. This league will be capped at 12 teams. Early registration by mail is highly recommended to ensure that your team gets into the league, so first come, first play! Registration steps are on this page below. In-person registration will also be held Friday, August 15, 6:00pm at DU Gates Fieldhouse. There may be an additional registration session should the team limit not be met by August 15.
- When: Friday nights, 6 – 9pm; 10 weeks of league play, starting Friday September 5. No play on October 31, November 7, or November 28. The league tournament starts December 5, with the finals and league awards party on December 12. There will be Open Play on August 15.
- Registration: August 15 only. If the league is not full at the end of open play on Friday, August 15, an alternate registration opportunity will be available on Tuesday August 19 at the Bladium starting at 8PM. See Registration Steps below.
- Cost: $65 per player, no limit on number of players per team - also $5 drop-in fee.
- Format: Pre-formed teams of 6 or more players
- Where: University of Denver Gates Field House (entrance off Asbury Ave, 2 blocks west of University Blvd).
- Parking: DU is offering two parking passes for the garage across the street from Gates Fieldhouse – a $15 pass, good for the fall league, spring league 2009, and Last Dig 2009, and a $10 pass good only for this fall league. There is street parking near Gates Fieldhouse, but during DU basketball or hockey games it can be very difficult to find street parking. See Registration Steps below.

Open Play Reminder
- Please use common courtesy. Courts are available for all players for all levels at all times.
- If you want to play on a court, you must sit at the net and be the score-keeping team.
- Once you are on the court, your team is on the court for two games.
- After you have played, you must keep score another game to be in line for that net.
- Open play games are rally score to 21, cap at 23.
- All of the above are subject to modification based on the number of people present.

Registration Steps

Each player on the team must completely fill in the CGVA Individual Participant Waiver before stepping on the courts for open play or for league. If you have filled out this form for Tuesday night, then you do not have to fill it out again.

One CGVA Team Registration Form should be filled out completely for the entire team by the captain. Each player MUST initial this form.

Fees for the entire team must accompany the team registration form. Only cash & checks payable to “CGVA” will be accepted. Fee is $65 per player. See Parking section above for details on additional parking fees.

Players wishing to purchase a parking pass will need cash or a separate check Payable to University Of Denver, as well as the make, model, year, color, and license plate for the vehicle they seek a permit for. Team captains can gather required information using this spreadsheet (.XLS) --> Parking Pass Information Collection Form and collect $'s from each player who would like a permit and mail in with their registration OR players can provide information and payment at the August 15th registration.

CGVA wants you to know we're committed to you - look for more skill development opportunities in the 08/09 seasons. Tell us what you're interested in attending via a quick survey, available on registration nights. We'll coordinate opportunities as interest dictates.
