Covid-19 Rules & Guidelines

Update as of Feb 15, 2022

The city of Denver mask mandate has been lifted. As a result, we will now have masks an optional and suggested form of defense against Covid-19 but not required. If you are feeling ill, please stay home. Continue to follow latest CDC recommendations.

Update as of Dec 22, 2021

Due to uptick of the Omicron variant and its impact in Denver, we will be REQUIRING MASKS for the foreseeable future

We will be monitoring this weekly and will update you if this changes.

The protection of our community is the upmost importance. Thank you for understanding. Together we each can help keep this community safe and our league functioning.

For full details please read here.

Beginning 2021 WINTER Season for all CGVA Leagues:

Joining along with our community and given the current COVID situation, we will have certain requirements to keep the league as safe as possible.

ONLY Fully vaccinated players who provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 at registration will be allowed to play.

Full vaccination is defined as 2 weeks passed the final vaccination. (J&J - 2 weeks passed the single vaccination & Moderna and Pfizer, 2 two weeks passed the 2nd vaccination.)

THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED by CGVA's League Director, President, and CGVA Board members.

Please continue to practice proper hygiene, such as washing hands for at least 20 seconds, use alcohol-based hand sanitizer, avoid sharing water bottles/beverages, etc.

If a player is diagnosed with Covid-19 anytime during the league season, the player is required to contact CGVA. We want to stem the spread of infections and help protect the health of our community. Failure to let CGVA know may result in an outbreak and a possible league shutdown.

Following CDC guidelines, if a player is diagnosed, the player is mandated to quarantine for a minimum of 10 days from the date of the positive test. Players can return to play after a negative test result. These requirements may adjust with any CDC changes in their recommendations.

We are in this together for the safety of all. Therefore, if a player refuses to wear a face covering where it is required, whether on the sidelines or while in play, that player may be permanently removed from the league.

The board appreciates your cooperation in keeping the league a safe place for all players.
