Welcome to CGVA's 2024 Skills Clinic Series!

Colorado Gay Volleyball Association (CGVA) is excited to announce a new 4-week skills clinic that we will be putting on with the assistance of collegiate level Coach Gavin Markovits!


Coach Gavin has been a coach for 26 years teaching collegiate and club level volleyball. He has previously played in CGVA and is excited to be able to give back to the community.


We will be going through such skills as setting/passing, blocking, serving, hitting and much much more!

These clinics are open to all skill levels as we will be doing separate activities for each division.

At this time clinics are restricted to CGVA players to maintain our community and safety.


We highly encourage taking ALL FOUR CLASSES as they will flow together, but individual clinics are also available to build your volley skills.

Our January 21st class will be on setting/passing and we will be working with Coach Gavin to decide on the next 3 clinics shortly, but for now be sure to add the below dates to your calendars!

WEEK 1 - Setting & Passing - 1/21/24
430 PM - 630 PM

Coach Gavin will be working with all skill levels (along with some assistant coaches) to improve our core skills of setting and passing. Make sure to come ready in your athletic attire and bring a water bottle as this will be a workout!

WEEK 2 - - 2/4/24 - Cancelled due to schedule conflicts (Refunds have been applied to anyone signed up for this clinic)

WEEK 2 - Hitting & Blocking - 2/18/24

430 PM - 630 PM

We will be learning how to improve upon our frontline skills of hitting and blocking in this skills clinic with Coach Gavin. Make sure to come ready in your athletic attire and bring a water bottle as this will be a workout!

WEEK 3 - Serving & Defense/Libero - 3/3/24
430 PM - 630 PM

In this weeks skills clinic Coach Gavin and his assistant coaches will be running through ways to improve our backrow skills of serving and defense. This class will have extra focus for those interested in playing as liberos as well.
As always make sure to come ready in your athletic attire and bring a water bottle as this will be another great workout.

WEEK 4 - Team Concepts & Drills - 3/24/24

For our final skills clinic of the season Coach Gavin is going to be putting all our skills together and teaching us ways to improve our team concepts by learning some drills that can be adjusted to any team level.
